Reset is a floppy-based system for erasing data from a harddrive in a secure manner.
When you remove data from a harddrive by simply deleting the data, overwriting it or even formatting the disk, it is still possible for skilled people with the right equipment to recover the data. Reset deletes the data in a way that makes this kind of recovery very difficult. Note, however, that to absolutely, completely erase all data on a harddisk, the easiest and most secure way to do this is to physically destroy the disk.
