A couple of years ago, Mark Russinovich wrote a nice little article explaining how to bypass certain group policy settings in Windows. The article was accompanied by a tool named GPDisable, which of course got buried in a shallow grave upon Microsoft’s acquisition of Sysinternals a year later. Since I often need to work in domain-joined enterprise desktop environments while also being free from group policy restrictions, I used the same technique described in the original article to create a new tool called GPCul8r.
